Accredited DNA Paternity Testing Labs Australia
We know how significant the outcomes of DNA testing can be and it can be done so with the upmost respect towards patients confidentiality. First you must select your company to complete you DNA testing with. Their will be initial contact, followed by preparations to collect your samples and finally delivery of your results with a thorough explanation.
Did you know that there is now also non-invasive prenatal paternity tests you can have done during pregnancy? Paternity can be determined by analysing DNA that has been extracted from the maternal blood. This test is non-invasive and only requires a 10ml blood sample from the mother and the alleged father. It is a very safe practice to do for everyone that is involved. Testing is validated from 7 Weeks gestational age, with optimal testing from 10 Weeks gestational age.
Please be advised the results from a prenatal paternity DNA test are not permissible in a court of law and for ‘peace of mind’ purposes only. A court will still require a legal DNA paternity test to be completed once the baby has been born to confirm paternity.

Help with Child Support Arrangements
When there is uncertainty or a disagreement about who the father of a child is (parentage), parents can choose to have a legal DNA test done or a court can make an order to have one completed. Parentage needs to be determined to decide who has to pay child support. This will also have an impact on whether or not a person can claim Centrelink payments and other services. For more information please refer to your specific state, as laws apply by state.
